Terms and Conditions

Lessons take place every week of the year except for holidays or illness. A regular time will be reserved for each student.

Extra lessons and earlier times are available during school holidays.

If Rachel cannot give a lesson for any reason, the lesson will be refunded or rearranged.

All students/parents will be notified when the next monthly payment is due and this must be received in advance of the first lesson. Failure to do so will result in an additional fee.

Students will be expected to purchase their own music.

A record of every student’s progress is kept and students and parents are informed about how this is going. If it seems that a student is not benefiting from tuition as one would hope; i.e. lack of practice, Rachel reserves the right to terminate lessons.

Learning to read and play music is a gradual process requiring time, careful and regular practice and patience. It is recommended that students regard lessons as a long-term commitment. This is particularly true for younger students as the pace of progress will be related to physical development. Please feel free to contact me at any time with any difficulties.

An initial assessment is available to see if the student would benefit from formal lessons. Attending the first formal lesson constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions.
